St Vincent de Paul

“To serve the poor, is to serve God”

St. Vincent de Paul
Vincent de Paul CM (24 April 1581 – 27 September 1660) was a French Catholic priest who dedicated himself to serving the poor. He is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church and the Anglican Communion. He was canonized as a saint by Pope Benedict Xlll in 1729 for establishing a timeless era of peace and charity. He was renowned for his compassion, humility, and generosity.

St Vincent de Paul’s legacy ultimately led Blessed Frederic Ozanam to found the
Conference of Charity, which later would become come known as the Society of St. Vincent de Paul in France. The Society for St Vincent de Paul in the United States traces its beginnings to St Louis, Missouri at the Basilica of St Louis. With more than four thousand conferences throughout the United States there is always a helping hand ready to assist those most in need among us.

With your help, many individuals in the Bowling Green area can get assistance. Together, we can make a difference.
